www.nordicmaster.net

The terms take place at The Royal College of Music in Stockholm, The Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, Southern Denmark (Odense) and the third term at The Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, whereas on the fourth term the students visit the Ole Bull Academy, Vossfor a shorter period and then continue studies in their respective home institutions where the final master degree is taken.

The programme has been jointly developed by the four institutions and with financial support from Nordplus (Nordtrad). The project is followed with great interest by the Association of Nordic Music Academies as well as the Association of Baltic Academies of Music (ABAM), which considers this a decided pilot project.

Eligibility:
In addition to a good command of the English language (assessed during the interview of the entrance examinations), the basic pre-requisite for admission is a successful completion of a Bachelor's level degree in Nordic folk music (or equivalent).

Formal eligibility is assessed according to the documents submitted with the application (see below). Specific musical criteria are tested in the final selection of applicants during the entrance examinations. All applicants selected to participate in the entrance examinations must do so in person at the school to which the original application was made. It is not possible to apply by means of video or audio recordings. The next application test will be held during spring 2011.
